FC Barcelona interested to sign Klose?

Yesterday Miroslav Klose celebrated his 34th birthday, the day Germany took on Portugal in their opening Euro2012 match, but the seasoned striker only started on the bench. Still Klose could get a dream transfer over the summer with media reports coming out in Germany claiming that FC Barcelona are interested to sign Klose.

Miroslav Klose last summer left Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich to sign for Italian Serie A club Lazio Roma where he signed a three year contract. Klose had a good first season in Italy, but faced injury problems towards the end and with the betting scandal hitting the league maybe a transfer away could be the best move.

And there FC Barcelona could be a great option, then Barca's new coach Tito Vilanova is set to be looking for a center forward, a classical number nine then Barca last season often played without a real striker with Lionel Messi playing upfront.

This is something that Tito Vilanova wants to change and have an option to play differently if needed. A Klose transfer would be similar to the signing of then ageing Swedish striker Henrik Larsson in 2005.

But Klose would only be available for a transfer fee due to his running contract, but if Barcelona are seriously interested then this wouldn't be an issue.
