Kolkata side Mohammedan Sporting Club, who will be participating in the 2nd Division I-League, have appointed Sanjoy Sen as their new head coach for the remainder of the 2012/13 season.
After their 1-6 trashing at the hands of East Bengal Club in the Calcutta Premier Division on Saturday coach Aloke Mukherjee resigned for good after he had threatened to do so earlier following poor performances of his team.
The club in their search for a suitable replacement decided to appoint the former Prayag United SC coach Sanjoy Sen.
Sanjoy Sen's aim for the rest of the season will be to gain promotion with Mohammedan Sporting to the I-League from the 2nd Division.
