The big question ahead of today's I-League Round 15 match between Chirag United SC and Salgaocar SC at the Saltlake Stadium this afternoon is if Indian international striker Sunil Chhetri will make his debut for the Kolkata side or not.
After watching yesterday's morning training of Chirag United at the Saltlake Stadium I am sure of one thing, Sunil Chhetri will not be making a start in the first eleven. But he might come on as a substitute and that would be a sensable move by Subrata Bhattacharya as he hasn't played a competitive match since the final 2011 AFC Asian Cup match against South Korea on January 18.
It has been more off field talks about his future after the release from Sporting Kansas then concentrating on his training. So Sunil might take a while to get back into top form plus he will be playing for a new club with new team mates, so it might take a while to gel with them.
But for Chirag United it was a wise move to bring in India's currently best striker. Should rejuvinate the team and opponents will see them as a much bigger threat with an attack of Josimar, Junior and Chhetri.
