Sukhvinder Singh, a former Team India coach, who had also been coach of Phagwara's JCT for many, many years; has resigned as the Technical Director of the Kolkata-based Pailan Arrows, the AIFF's Developmental Team.
Sukhvinder cited personal reasons for his resignation, which has been accepted by the All India Football Federation.
Sukhvinder had a difficult task on hand with the new squad put together in the Pailan Arrows second season of existence. The quality of players wasn't as good as last year and that showed with the team only having been able to draw eight of their matches with no win to their name in the I-League.
Chief Coach Sujit Chakraborty and Goalkeeping Coach Tanumoy Basu will from now on be in-charge of the Pailan Arrows in Sukhvinder's absence.
