The seventh edition of the Abhijit Kadam Memorial Football Cup was held from March 3 to 11 at the floodlit Bharati Vidyapeeth Education Complex Ground in Dhankawdi, Pune. In the final Mumbai-based I-League Division 2 outfit PIFA-Colaba FC won 1-0 against a second string Prayag United SC, who gave exposure to their fringe and under-19 players.
Nagesh Swamy scored the winner for PIFA in the final. Along with the trophy PIFA received a cash prize of Rs 300,000 (3 lakhs), while runners-up Prayag United SC received Rs 200,000 (2 lakhs).
PIFA's Vincent Bassey received the best Player of the Tournament award, while Raju Chakraborty (Prayag United SC) was adjudged as the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Nagesh Swamy was named as the 'Man of the Match' of the final.
