Mumbai FC name provisional squad for 2012/13 season

I-League side Mumbai FC have named their provisional squad for the 2012/13 season. The Khalid Jamil coached side have named a squad of 21 players with a few more players to be signed before the season starts.

The big signing of the summer is that of Ghanian veteran Yakubu Yusif, one of the top foreigners in the Indian circuit over the last few years with defender Evans Quao having been brought back with striker N.D. Opara another signing, while Haroon Fakruddin Amiri Islam from Afghanistan has been retained by Mumbai FC.

Coach Khalid Jamil has learned his lessons from last seasons I-League in which the club from Mumbai only finished 11th. All three African foreigners - Ebi Theophilus Sukore, Kingsley Chioma, Gbeneme Friday - have been released as the management wasn't happy with their performance.
