After victories at the 2007 and 2009 Nehru Cup's India are on a potential title hattrick, but the opposition is going to be tough with Cameroon, Syria, the Maldives and the replacement for Kenya as India's opposition.
For Wim Koevermans the Nehru Cup tournament will be his first assignment as India coach and for the Dutchman this is now the first camp to see his new wards in practice, the chance to find his first eleven and work with the team on his preferred 4-3-3 system.
The preparatory camp was shifted to Bangalore's artificial turf at the Football Stadium from Greater Noida due to rainy weather in the National Capital Region and the team is set to shift back to Greater Noida around August 15/16 with their first match set to be on the opening day of August 22.
