Houghton; Sushil out, Rafi in

We are just over a day away from the India vs Australia match and there was a pre-match press conference at the tournaments Media Centre were an new problem for Team India was discussed.

The media were informed by the AFC in the morning: "Please be informed that India's Sushil Kumar Singh has been suspended for two matches by the AFC Disciplinary Committee for elbowing an opponent during their 2010 AFC Challenge Cup match against DPR Korea.

Sushil Kumar Singh will miss India's first two games in the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011™ against Australia and Bahrain."

When I asked Bob at the press conference about this he said that due to Sushil's suspension Mohammed Rafi would be drafted into the squad while Sushil is left out as Bob cannot go into the tournament with only two strikers in Sunil Chhetri and Abhishek Yadav with Baichung only an opportunity for the South Korea match.
