Borussia Dortmund conquer Bayern Munich

German Bundesliga record champions FC Bayern Munich suffered a 0-1 loss against defending champions Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena last night. Still Bayern Munich stay top of the league with 28 points but their lead was cut to only two points with the two Borussia's - Dortmund and Moenchengladbach in their pursuit.

It was a tactical game with both teams giving little space to each other to play. Interesting was unlike other sides who have come and played this season in Munich, Dortmund didn't worry about the strength of Bayern Munich and tried to play their own game. This did cause problems to the Bavarians who missed injured Bastian Schweinsteiger in midfield. He could have made a difference in the game, while Arjen Robben return from injury straight into the first eleven did not pay off.

The match winner of the day came from teenager Mario Götze in the 65th minute. The Dortmund youngster pounded on a lose ball past Manuel Neuer as German international team mate Jerome Boateng lost vision of the ball.

Many have been speaking about a possible march through by Bayern Munich in this seasons Bundesliga, but with last nights result the league is wide open with Bayern Munich having to prove their worth in the matches to come.
