66th Santosh Trophy: Manipur name probables

The All Manipur Football Association has invited a total of 33 probables for the selection trials of the Assam state team for the 66th edition of the National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy will be played from May 11 to 27 across Orissa. The selection trials will be held in the Manipuri capital Imphal.

The AMFA has appointed Kh. Surmani Singh, an AFC 'B' licence holder as coach of the Manipur state team. Amongst the 33 players who have been called for the selection trials 20 of the players play in Manipur while the 13 other players play for 2nd Division I-League sides and teams in the Northeast.

Manipur have been drawn in the quarterfinal league Group B along with Goa plus the winners of Cluster III and Cluster V playing their matches on May 19 (vs Cluster III), May 21 (vs Cluster V) and May 23 (vs Goa).
