Team India visits Indian High Commissioner to Trinidad&Tobago

For the Indian national football team it has become a tradition to visit their local Embassies and High Commissions wherever they travel around the world.



On arrival in Port of Spain Team on Thursday India received an invitation from the Second Secretary of the India High Commission Rajendra Shanker to come for high tea to the High Commission on Friday afternoon.



The team travelled to Bharat Bhawan in Port of Spain to meet the Indian High Commissioner Shri Malay Mishra. He was first introduced and spoke to the team coach Armando Colaco, captain Climax Lawrence, this year Arjuna Awardee Sunil Chhetri and manager Mandar Tamhane before meeting the whole team.



The management of the Soca Warriors, the Trinidad & Tobago national team also been invited by the High Commissioner for the gathering.



The High Commissioner in his speech welcomed the Indian team to Trinidad and Tobago, which has a high population of Indian origin. He wished the team would play in good spirit and get a good result to show India and its football to the Caribbean population.



After that the team enjoyed some Indian snacks, while the High Commissioner interacted with the whole team, showing interest in the players, their origin, what position they play and wanted to know how they see the upcoming match on Sunday.
