33th Federation Cup: Qualifiers in Kolkata

The 33rd Federation Cup, India's version of the FA Cup, will begin on September 8 with seven teams taking part in the qualifiers for the Federation Cup proper. The final Round of 16 teams is likely to begin on September 17.

The seven teams are the I-League relegated ONGC plus six teams from the 2nd Division I-League's final round. The seven teams have been divided into two groups of three and four teams each and only the winners will move on into the next round. Both the qualification groups will be played in Kolkata.

Group A comprises of local giants Mohammedan Sporting, Ar-Hima FC from Shillong and Goan side Vasco SC, while Group B will see local side Southern Samity take on Royal Wahingdoh FC from Shillong, United Sikkim FC and Mumbai-based ONGC.
