Vivek Nagul: An Indian to coach in Tanzania

Vivek Nagul is set to do what no Indian football coach has done before as he is set to be the assistant coach at an African club side in Tanzania. Vivek will be assistant to former Pune FC coach Stewart Hall at Azam FC, a Tanzanian Premier League side.

Vivek, who holds an UEFA 'A' Coaching Licence after having done his AFC 'C' & then 'B' licence, has been assistant coach at Mahindra United and Pune FC. It was in Pune that he first met Stewart Hall, who was then the coach of the newly formed club and it was Stewart Hall who recommended Vivek to Azam FC.

Talking about the upcoming assignment Vivek said, "I think it would be an good stage for me as an Indian to work for such a big club in a big League, definitely the experience would be great!"

Vivek is the Founder-Director and Head Coach at All India Youth Football Academy in Pune, while he has also been attached the Maharashtra senior and junior state teams while also coaching in other positions.

Vivek hopes to learn different things in coaching in Africa and hopes to start an exchange program with Tanzania to give Indian boys a different kind of exposure.

I wish Vivek all the best in Tanzania!!!
