Indian Football: Transfer Season 2011 - Version 1

It is the season of transfers in Indian football and an interesting time with players either still having a contract, willing to extend their contract, leave for new clubs or a new phenomenon where clubs try to buy players out of their existing contracts. And suddenly we have many teams with new squads going into the new season, while very few can retain most of their team.

So far the big buyers have been Mohun Bagan by signing Odafe Onyeka Okolie, Syed Rahim Nabi and N.P. Pradeep, but also Salgaocar SC now with the title under their belt the expectations from the Goans will be higher and coach Karim Bencharifa knows he will have to bring in reinforcements. And there are loads of rumours surrounding a number of players and their next move...
