Sporting Clube de Goa sign Spanish striker Juanfri

I-League side Sporting Clube de Goa signed Spanish striker Juan Francisco García Peña yesterday to increase the Spanish Armada at the club as first young coach Óscar Bruzón Barreras was signed during the season and then last week defender Angel Berlanga had come in.

Sporting Clube de Goa has been having a difficult season and they hope that Juan Francisco García Peña, known as Juanfri in short, can sort out their problems upfront in attack.

The 1,80m tall striker was born in Fuenirola at the Costa del Sol. He started his career with his home town club before moving to Estepona and was then for three seasons at CF Málaga before being with Écija the first half of this season.

Relegation fighting Sporting Clube de Goa, who have a focus on local Goan talent, will hope that their two new Spanish recruits will give them a flavour of what the World and European champions are known for and keep the side in the I-League.
