In an interesting turn of events Getafe CF president Angel Torres denied yesterday after his return from Dubai that his club had already been sold to the Dubai based Royal Emirates Group."I was in Dubai looking for sponsors. We signed a series of agreements and protocols. No one should doubt Angel Torres. Getafe has not yet been sold," he told reporters on his return from Dubai at Madrid airport.
"First I have to inform the board of all the things that were done, then I will give a news conference," added Torres.
It sounds little different then what was said on Thursday in a press conference in Dubai where the Royal Emirates Group chairman Sheikh Butti bin Suhail al-Maktoum and his Managing Director announced the takeover of the club by the investment company.
The deal isn't off, but some follow-up negotiations might have to be done until the deal is 100% confirmed.
