Santosh Trophy: Goa selection trials

The Goa Football Association will have to enter the 65th Santosh Trophy with a weaker squad this year due to the I-League and 2nd Division I-League in action when the national championships will be held. But this also gives a chance to talented youngsters and fringe players to show themselves.

The 65th edition of the Santosh Trophy will be held from May 6 to 30 across Assam in the seven cities of Guwahati, Nagaon, Mangaldoi, Tinsukia, Shivsagar, Kokrajhar and Bongalgaon. In this years edition Goa have been given a bye into the Quarterfinal Group stage as they last year were amongst the last four.

The Goan FA has drawn up a list of probables and they will not be having any open selection trials. The below listed players are all asked to report to Peter Vales at 08.00 IST on April 25 at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco.
