Relegated Shillong Lajong FC won their second game in as many matches in the 2nd Division final round against local rivals Ar-Hima FC. The goal of the day in the much expected derby came from striker James Giblee in the 22nd minute to settle it in favour of Lajong.
28-Apr-2011: Southern Samity 0-1 (0-0) Mohammedan Sporting Club
Mohammedan Sporting Club scored a vital lone goal victory against Kolkata rivals Southern Samity to stay in the race for promotion, while for Southern Samity after their second defeat in as many matches see their chances diminishing. The winner came for the black-and-white from striker Nilendra Dewan in the 55th minute.
29-Apr-2011: Royal Wahingdoh FC 0-0 United Sikkim FC
Newcomers Royal Wahingdoh FC and United Sikkim FC played out a goalless draw with both sides remaining win less in the final round.
29-Apr-2011: Vasco SC 3-0 (2-0) Sporting Clube de Goa
Vasco SC scored an upset of sorts by winning rather easily 3-0 against Sporting Clube de Goa to join Shillong Lajong FC at the top with two wins out of two. The Goan derby was rather one-sided with midfielder Joel Sequeira giving the port town team a 30th minute lead before Basileo Rego doubled the lead in the 41st minute. The match was decided in Vasco's favour when African striker Koko Sakibo scored their third in the 79th minute.
