Bayern Munich's incredible run continues!

Even Robin Dutt's Bayer 04 Leverkusen could not stop Bayern Munich's incredible early season run - nine wins in a row without conceding a single goal in all competitions. In the German Bundesliga last evening the Bavarian giants won 3-0 against Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena on a perfect Oktoberfest evening for the Bayern Munich fans.

An early 5th minute strike from Thomas Mueller, a 19th minute free-kick from Belgian Daniel van Buyten and a 90th minute goal from substitute Arjen Robben sealed the game for Bayern Munich; but Bayer Leverkusen were an easy opponent on this day with numerous injuries amongst them a flu-ridden former Bayern star Michael Ballack. The Werkself never really troubled their more famed opponents and that will be a big worry for coach Robin Dutt as it was the third loss in a row after Chelsea FC and 1.FC Köln.

After an initial burst Bayern Munich played a cool game and didn't push themselves too much, especially after the break knowing that they have a Champions League game coming up. But what will worry opponents is that Bayern Munich have not conceded a goal since their opening Bundesliga day 0-1 loss against Borussia Mönchengladbach on August 7. In the Bundesliga they are top of the league with 21-1 goals and 18 points from seven matches.

Next up for Bayern Munich are big spenders Manchester City from the English Premier League in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday at home at the Allianz Arena and that should be a real test or maybe not...
