Mumbai FC last team to name squad for 2011/12 season

I-League side Mumbai FC are once more the last side to put their squad together for the upcoming season ahead. Last year it didn't hamper their I-League campaign, but if they can repeat that magic will have to be seen. The Mumbai FC management has a lot of faith in their coach Khalid Jamil and they will once more hope that the former Indian international can get the best out of the squad.

MFC have been able to keep most of their squad together, but lost key players in African Ezeh Nna Henry besides Anes Edathodika, Bungo Thokchom Singh, Pradeep Mohanraj, Deepak Prakash and Hiralal Chetri.

The club will hope that Africans - defender Kingsley Chioma and striker Gbeneme Friday - are an instant hit. Further MFC have been able to bring in players with some I-League experience in L. Dhanachandra Singh, Peter Costa, Darren Caldeira and Cavin Peter Lobo besides a number of players having also moved up from the MFC Under-19 team.

But as mentioned above it will all depend if coach Khalid Jamil can create a fighting unit out of these players. Then if not, then Mumbai FC could be a candidate for I-League relegation and if then the management will keep the club running after relegation would surely be in doubt.
