6th Manipur State League to kick-off in August

The sixth edition of the Manipur State League is set to kick-off on August 1, but this time around with only 10 teams instead of the usual 12 teams who have participated in the league over the first five editions.

The reason is relatively simple then Super Division and First Division teams from across the state haven't been able to fulfil the necessary MSL club licence criteria to be part of the state league.

Last season Eastern Sporting Union and All-Irengband Football Association had finished 11th and 12nd, so they were relegated and their places are now not being taken up by other clubs.
