India U-19 squad for Weifang Cup named

The All India Football Federation has named a 22 player squad for the Under-19 Weifang Cup in Shandong, China. The team will be coached by Colm Toal and is leaving for Shanghai on Sunday, July 10 for a three week preparatory camp in China.

The Under-19 boys will then travel to Shandong for the eight team tournament which kicks-off on August 1. Besides India the Weifang Cup will seee China Under-19, SL Benfica Lisboa (Portugal), FC Villarreal (Spain), FC Guadalajara Chivas (Mexico), FC Shandong (China), FC Chunna Dragons (South Korea) and FC Adelaide (Australia) in action.

Meanwhile the Under-19 boys defeated Sesa Football Academy 10-0 in their last practice match. Rajinder Kumar scored a hattrick, Sumit Passi scored a brace while Pronoy Halder, Yumnam Meetei, Malswamfela, Brandon Fernandes and Souvik Das scored one apiece.
