Shillong Lajong FC start pre-season training tomorrow

The Northeasts only representative in the top division of the I-League, Shillong Lajong FC, are back amongst the best sides in India. And from tomorrow their pre-season training starts to prepare the team for the task ahead of staying in the I-League.

USSF 'A' licenced Pradhyum Reddy will continue to be the coach of the team. After an initial camp in Shillong the club is set for a trip around the Northeast to spread awareness about the club, while also getting some much needed match practice.

But Lajong will also be organising camps for talented youngsters in the under-14 and under-16 category during the trip to find talented youngsters for their youth development program.

The roaster isn't complete yet as the club look to sign three more players, while the club wants to sort out the signing of goalkeeper Soram Poirei Angamba as he still has a contract with Pune FC but wants to move to Lajong.

Other players in Marcus Basumatary, Ronald Zothanzama, Racy Khiangte Lalremmawia, Samuel Shadap and Lalnunmawia are part of the overall squad, but will be tested in the Shillong Premier League and with other impressive performers could find a place in the I-League squad.
