
The six participating schools - Greenwood International School, Bangalore; DPS Vasant Kunj, Delhi; Don Bosco High School, Goa; St. Joseph's High School, Kerala; Ashoknagar Vidyasagar Banibhavan, Kolkata and Don Bosco High School, Matunga, Mumbai - will play each other in a round robin league and the top two sides would meet again on Monday, April 22 in the finals.
The champion school would receive the Mahindra Youth Football Challenge trophy and a prize money of Rs. 50,000 while the runners-up will also receive a trophy and Rs.30,000. There would be individual awards for the 'Star Performer' of each match, who would also receive a trophy. There will be prizes for the 'Best Goalkeeper', 'Best Midfielder', 'Best Striker' and 'Best Defender' of the tournament.
The Mahindra Youth Football Challenge has tied-up with Scottish giants Celtic Glasgow FC and 22 children will be selected from the national schools finals for a four-day coaching clinic from April 23 onwards and then the two to four most talented kids will get a chance to visit Glasgow for 10 days to see Celtic in action, their facilities, train at the Celtic FC Academy and more.
