CII's Sports Management Capacity Building Workshop in Delhi & Mumbai

Sports management has become a high profile career option in India and abroad. One of the countries where it has reached the next stage as an evolving profession is Australia, who has led the way by integrating sports management in university business degrees. Against this backdrop, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Australian Trade Commission and Deakin University, Australia is organizing a workshop on Sports Management Capacity Building in New Delhi and Mumbai.

The sports management industry is a growing arena in India with more and more professionals needed to run different sports, be it the federations, clubs, franchises, sports management companies and more.

The first of the two events will be held on Wednesday, April 10 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi; while the second on Friday, April 12 at the Hyatt Regency in Mumbai.

Topics on both days, in both cities will be Overview of Sports Industry in India, Skills Gap in Indian Sports Industry – What is missing for the industry to be successful?, Sport Management in India – Linking Education to industry requirement, Review of existing Sport Management Academic Programs in India, The Deakin Experience and a closing session.

But there will be a mainly different set of speakers for the CII's Sports Management Capacity Building Workshop in New Delhi and Mumbai.
