VIDEO: Prelude to the FPAI Indian Football Awards 2011

The third edition of the FPAI Indian Football Awards is set to be held in mid-September 2011. After Kolkata and New Delhi it looks that Mumbai is likely to be hosting the gala evening this year.

The voting amongst the players has already started while the Fans Player of the Year is set to happen very soon.

Last year striker Mohammed Rafi had been named as the Best Indian Player of the Year while goalkeeper Subrata Pal won the Fans player of the Year. I-League champions Dempo SC had two winners amongst them in Joaquim Abranches as the Best Young Player of the Year while Armando Colaco won the Coach of the Year, while for a second time Odafe Onyeka Okolie was also chosen as the Best Foreigner of the Year.
